LOVE SET GAME To Support the Victims of Typhoon ‘Ondoy’

A group of Filipino-American tennis enthusiasts in Springfield, VA (USA) held a tennis game socials to raise in-kind donations to support the victims of typhoon ‘Ondoy’ that has inundated most areas of Metro Manila and nearby provinces in the Phillipines.

The ultimate challenge of the tennis socials was to fill up the balikbayan boxes, wrap it and sign it addressed to the Philippine National Red Cross.

The donation drive was held at the tennis courts of Robert E. Lee HS in Springfield on Oct 3, 2009. Games started at 9:30 and opened to all FIl-Am members of the community and guests. Towards noontime, the group of friends started taking donations and sorted the goods to be delivered to PNRC via Forex Cargo.
