One of the highlights of the festival is the koto (traditional Japanese stringed instrument) concert of Ms. Chieko Fukuda, a renowned Japanese traditional musician.  Her performance will be on February 28, 6:30 at the SM MOA Cinema 1.

Japanese kite exhibition and kite-making workshops for both kids and adults will be conducted at the Main Mall Atrium by one of the leading Japanese kite artisans, Mikio Toki.  Likewise, Japanese and Filipino kite enthusiasts will showcase not only their colorful creations but their kite-flying skills as well on March 1, Sunday at MOA’s Open Field.

The 2009 Nihongo Fiesta is made possible in cooperation with SM Malls, Embassy of Japan, Isuzu Philippines, the Department of Tourism, and Tokyo Tokyo.
