Bangus Festival

What better way to celebrate the abundance of milkfish than with a Bangus Festival.  Celebrations start in the middle of April thru the first week of May in Dagupan City, the bangus capital of the Philippines in the province of Pangasinan.  Several activities are held thru out the province such as the Dagupan Bangus Festival Queen, Battle of the Bands, Dagupan Pinoy Pop Idol, Kundiman Fiesta, Moonstar night of Champions, foodtrips, street parties, eating contests, cookfests such as biggest bangus, fastest deboner, healthiest bangus, sportsfests such as the Tour of Dagupan, taekwondo open, Billiards Challenge, Boxing and Mud Wrestling, Beer drinking and many others.  The festival has become a popular destination it is also visited by popular Entertainment artists such as Black Jack, Kamikaze, Parokya ni Edgar, etc.
