Adolf Hitler Rizal?

This popular Filipino legend has been around for decades. It claims that Filipino martyr Jose Rizal, while on one of his trips to Europe, supposedly sowed his wild oats in Germany (among other European destinations), and the resulting offspring was, unknown to him, Der Fuhrer Adolf Hitler.

Ateneo de Manila History teacher and resident Germanophile Glenn Garfield Ang refers to a detailed chronology of Rizal from “Jose Rizal, the Renaissance Man,” a reference CD-ROM available at the ADMU History Department…

“Rizal was in London from June 1888 to September 1888, after which he went to France and spent some time there. Since Adolf Hitler’s birthday is April 20, 1889, then, giving an allowance of nine months from conception to birth, Rizal should have been in Austria in July 1888, if he were indeed Adolf Hitler’s natural father.

But this is contradicted by the fact that Rizal was in London in July 1888 and remained there until September 1888. Therefore, it is completely impossible for Jose Rizal to have been the natural father of Adolf Hitler.”
