Contis… this bake shop has one of the best cakes located in the cities of makati (fort area), alabang, Quezon city, greenhill, etc…
however, contis venturing into other food category like pastas, steaks, other filipino delis somehow diluted the conti’s experience….
Filipinos normally do not just dine and eat… friends and families take time in the table to chat and to relax. Yes, contis definitely has superb cakes but the the restaurant per se is not appealing for dine in customers.

take the fort contis for example, dinner time starts at 7 , people arrives at the restaurant say 6.30pm, and guess what? they are lucky to be sitted by 8.30. Not to mention the waiting space that is crowded and not airconditioned. Dining within the restaurant is somehow irritating for there is not enough space to walk from one table to another. Each table is so close to one another that discomforts dine in customers. Attendants basicallly watch every bite and immedeately ask if plates are ready for dish out…

For cakes, i have to give contis’ 9 out of 10, for other delis 6 out of 10 (others are just average in taste, for one, their pasta white sauce and shrimp is not that creamy, their tofu is good though….) for ambiance and comfort, 3 out of 10(3 for clean and Prompt service)….

I’ve tried their pies: chicken pie, chorizo pie, tuna pie. Bought over a dozen at Conti’s -Trinoma. They were all TOO SALTY. There were at least 3 of us who ate from what I bought and we swear that they were all too salty that we just had to throw them away!

Never bought pies from Conti’s after that.

I’d say that they’re baked salmon iss good, though.
