Liliw Resort, Laguna

liliw-resort.jpgLiliw is one of the highland towns forming the southern extremity of Laguna province. It is perhaps best known for its cold water springs resorts, native homemade sweets and a sizeable shoe industry that rivals that of Marikina City. Nature lovers will be delighted to travel to this place by enjoying the lush greeneries and refreshing views especially once you’ve passed through commercialized part of Calamba and Los Banos – the other municipalities popularly known for their natural hot spring resorts.

The other places in Laguna I’ve been to that I can recommend is Liliw Resort and Villa Escudero(see recent post). They both have overnight accommodations that won’t break the bank. Liliw Resort has a closer to nature feel to it with the cold spring coming down from Mt Banahaw through a river. The activities seem to be limited to swimming and picnic though unless you go out of the resort do some tsinelas shopping and visit the old churches around. Villa Escudero offers more in terms of amenities and entertainment; carabao ride, historical artifacts, cultural shows, etc, . They’re both kid/family friendly.
Unfortunately i can’t find the website of Liliw Resort. I’ve been to this place twice, when I was in college and when I vacationed from the US in 2004 and brought my nieces, nephews and family. Back then, digital camera wasn’t as popular so all my pictures were in print(at nawawala pa yata) that’s why I haven’t posted a lot into this space.
In http://www.laguna.gov.ph/touristframe.htm , there is a list of accredited resorts and hotels you might find useful. You can call them to find out the amenities.
I hope you enjoy your trip and hopefully you can share us your experiences.

sorry but these are the only resources i can give which i googled for you on the internet. i think once you get to san pablo city, it would be easy for you to find your way to Liliw Resort if you just ask around or even if you commute. good luck and have fun.

sorry isaiah. bakasyunista ako nuong last time ako magpunta at may driver kami. di ko kabisado ang pasikut sikot. nabigay ko na ang link nuong oct 6. eto pa ang bago http://www.virtualtourist.com/travel/Asia/Philippines/Province_of_Laguna/Liliw-1394965/Things_To_Do-Liliw-BR-1.html . please read it from top to bottom. it will give you directions toward the end.
the water coming from the spring is cold and running. there are stones at the bottom, some sharp you will wade thru so you probably need rubber slipper. check the weather site before coming here to avoid the rainy season because that’s when the water turns mocha and ugly. i’m sure you are going to enjoy it with your barkada lalo na if you stay with them in a big cottage. i hope you enjoy your trip :)

Last April 3, 2011 it was my mom’s birthday we celebrated her birthday at liliw Resort . Maganda pa rin ang resort as we are always there since childhoold..
